Obituary for Ted Blaine Wells

Teddy (Ted) Blaine Wells

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ted Wells at the age of 78. Ted passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

Ted was predeceased by his parents George and Hazel Wells, his son Vince, daughter-in-law Doreen, and brother Tom Wells.

Ted is survived by his wife Linda, his son Greg (Donna) Wells and their children Kelsey, Jonathon and Sydney; daughter Rose (Mark) Guillemaud and their daughters Melissa and Michelle; daughter Tina (Lorne) Rode and their daughters April and Ashley; step-son Jason (Dawn) Brown and their children Kaylie, Branden, Jorden, and Aiden; his sister Freda Flexhaug, sister Kathy (Sterling) Quennell and brother Mike (Delee) Wells; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ted was born on April 29, 1940 on a farm near Climax, Saskatchewan; the oldest son of George and Hazel. He spent several years farming in southwestern Saskatchewan and near Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan. Ted moved to Alberta where he worked for Central Oilfield Services at Wetaskiwin before being hired by Texaco Canada (Imperial Oil) where he worked performing pipeline integrity and construction. Later, Ted formed his own consulting company, Wells Consulting, where he oversaw pipeline and facility construction. Ted spent his retirement working alongside his wife Linda; gardening and developing a yard that he was proud of. He enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. Ted never met a stranger. He delighted in conversation with anyone, anywhere. He spent time staying in touch and reminiscing with family and old friends.
